POSITION TITLE: Systems Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides application support for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of supported applications. Performs periodically scheduled processes in support of other departments, ANA entities, and AOMs. Provides level one user support and problem resolution for PC applications and enterprise systems. Provides level two user support and problem resolution to solve complex or not previously encountered application software malfunctions. Identifies user requirements and problem areas, and makes recommendations for improvement. Develops and maintains custom processes to integrate new application systems with existing systems. Works with other OT staff and vendors to assure the regular maintenance of computer systems. Writes, runs, and distributes standard and custom reports and database queries. Completes assigned projects on schedule and within budget. Ensures new application installations and upgrade projects are completed with the least amount of disruption to existing operations. Reports to management and users on project progress, problems, and the need for changes. Prepares and presents formal reports as needed. Keeps abreast of changes in Information Technology. Provides on-call, after hours support as required. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline. AA
degree in Computer Science or related discipline, along with at least 4 years of directly related
work experience may be substituted for the four-year degree. Four years experience supporting,
integrating, modifying software applications and systems as systems analyst, or equivalent in
training and experience, with significant exposure to Windows PC support and maintenance,
software engineering and integration (especially Commercial Off –the-Shelf (COTS) packages),
and PC desktop applications relational databases and 4GL development tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient analytical and technical skills.
Ability to analyze user needs, plan project tasks, meet budget and administrative requirements,
and provide useful documentation. Knowledge of PC hardware and peripherals, Microsoft
Windows, MS Office, MS Outlook, and windows compatible desktop software and applications
sufficient to provide level one support. Experience in developing desktop database applications
in Microsoft Access and other PC database software. Experience with Crystal Reports or other
report writer programs.
