• Diagnosis and Management of Foodborne Illnesses: A Primer for Physicians and Other Healthcare Professionals: This is an educational primer aimed at physicians and nurses. This is a new guide on how to identify and treat foodborne illnesses.

  The primer was created through a partnership of the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Nurses Association (ANA), and the American Nurses Foundation (ANF) in conjunction with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

• The National Coalition for Food-Safe Schools

  The National Coalition for Food-Safe Schools (NCFSS) is an alliance of representatives from a variety of renowned national organizations, professional associations, and government agencies that have interest or active involvement in reducing foodborne illness in the U.S. by improving food safety in schools. NCFSS is a voluntary and informal working group that focuses specifically on improving food safety in U.S. schools through information sharing, networking, and strategic planning of activities

• Federal Drug Administration Launches New Education Campaign: Food Safety For Moms-to-Be

  This broad education campaign in English and Spanish features a new comprehensive website www.cfsan.fda.gov/pregnancy.html and an educators kit for healthcare professionals designed to educate pregnant and soon-to-be pregnant women about food safety risks.
