1. Some Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Specialists are eligible to apply for ANP status in Alaska.
2. In Arkansas, APNs are CNMs, CNSs, CRNAs and NPs.
3. APRN licensure pertains only to prescribing privileges. Although CT statute names CRNAs, CNSs, and NPs as potential licensed prescribes, it does not define the full scope of practice of advanced practice nursing.
4. In Kansas, the term ARNP includes RCRNAs, CNMs, NPs, and CNSs. CRNAs also have an RNA statute that governs their practice.
5. Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Specialist
6. CRNAs are not part of advanced practice definition but are in Nurse Practice Act. NPs, CNSs, and CNMWs are defined as advanced practice nurses.
7. Colorado's Medical Practice Act recognizes nurse midwives certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives.

9. In Arkansas, RNPs are not eligible for prescriptive authority.
10. In Missouri, the term APN includes CRNA, CNM, CNP, C-CNS.
11. In our Nurse Practice Act and Regulations the term ARNP is used in conjunction with ARNP designated as a nurse anesthetist, nurse midwife, nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist.
12. Midwives in New York State have a separate practice act. CNMs must be licensed under both the Nursing and Midwifery Practice Acts.
13. Regulation by an autonomous Joint Midwifery Committee composed of 3 members each from BON and BOME, plus 2 CNMs and 2 physicians with experience with CNMs.
14. In Massachusetts, psychiatric CNSs
15. Those that can be certified as NPs, i.e. ANCC certified CNSs are eligible for Michigan Board of Nursing Certification as NPs.
16. Minnesota also recognizes two titles not on the chart: RNC, and RNCS.
17. CRNAs practice under Department of Health regulations which identify their credentials.
18. Board of Nursing rules ready for final adoption with effective date of 10/1/93 if adopted.
19. Nurse Practitioners are referred to as APNs in Nevada law.

33. Pennsylvania uses the designation CRNP rather than RNP but the intent is the same.
