Two new members of ANA's Hall of Fame will be inducted on June 27, 2004 during the ANA convention in Minneapolis, MN. They are Imogene King, EdD, MSN, RN, FAAN, and Luther P. Christman, PhD, RN, FAAN. Induction into the ANA Hall of Fame represents the pinnacle of nursing achievement. The Hall of Fame Award was established to recognize the life long commitment of individual nurses to the field of nursing and their impact on the health and/or social history of the United States. ANA named the first inductees in 1976. Currently, there are 65 nurses in the Hall of Fame.
