Dear President,
On behalf of the Taiwan Nurses Association, I would like to express our sincere consolation to victims and their relatives in State of Louisiana suffered by the devastating Hurricane Katrina in August.
Though a great deal of daily necessities and donation have been given by the Taiwan communities, the Taiwan Nurses Association would like to do its part as well. Please let us know if there are some we can do to help the victims, and also please accept my apology for being late in responding to this disaster due to some administrative procedure.
Sincerely yours,

Dear Ms. Blakeney:
On behalf of the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) and the registered nurses of
Canada, may I express my condolences and deepest sympathies to you and your members
in regard to the natural and human disaster occurring in the southern United States. We
know that many nurses, their families and their friends are affected by this great tragedy.
CNA is greatly distressed to see in the media reports the devastation that has occurred.
Many lives have been lost and hundreds of thousands have been left homeless. We know
that many nurses are on the front lines, responding to the health and emotional needs of
the injured. We hope that you will find strength during this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in the days and weeks ahead.
Sincerely,

It is most unfortunate to know about the recent Disaster which has struck All of the South USA (Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi). The people who have lost their lives May God bless their Soul and give Courage to their near and dears to bear this irreparable loss. Those who are in Distress my God give them courage to face this challenge. I am very MUCH impressed with the American Nurses Association the voluntary work which they are doing to help their country people in this sad hour.

Dear Ms. Barbara A Blakeney,
On behalf of Japanese Nursing Association and on my own behalf, I hereby send our deepest condolences to the members of American Nurses Association who experienced losses by The Hurricane Katrina in Southern USA.
I am greatly distressed to read of the massive damage in your country caused by such enormous natural disaster. Newspapers report that the Hurricane Katrina also caused numerous casualties who may need both medical and emotional care, and I suppose many nurses in that region are now working hard for them although while in some cases nurses themselves are injured or have casualties and victims in their families.
I hope that the nurses and people of the region, especially those who were unfortunately involved in the disaster, will soon recover from physical and mental damages.
Please do let us know if there is anything we could do help your nurses or association.
Yours sincerely,
Setsuko Hisatsune
President
Japanese Nursing Association

Prayers from India Society of Health Administrators
Sending messages of support, hope, prayer. I am so sad to note that many States in USA are flooded and this is a major natural disaster in US history. Many lives in jeopardy and resources needed. Our prayers for all those who are affected and those who are mobilizing the resources. Our understanding to those who have lost lives, families, and all else. We reached out to US nurses when our own homeland was impacted with the Tsunami. Many of those who responded to our call for help are now in similar need and circumstance. Our deep prayers are sent. If we may offer anything to provide assistance in kind we will do the needful.
With warm regards.
Cordially yours,
Dr Ashok Sahni

To All:
The USA is experiencing similar devastation, human struggle, and pain as from the Tsunami. All of the South (Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi) are flooded, and all homes, businesses - flattened. It is the largest natural disaster in USA history. All military reserves have been called up for active duty - they are still searching for survivors, there is no electric, no clean water, and no help yet.
I know each of you understand, are souls close to the needful and I ask your bright lights be brought to pray for all who are suffering from this disaster.
