Thank you for this important column addressing Open Access. Open access to scholarly articles and information can transform the world and ameliorate much suffering. Those who regard themselves advocates for health care will surely support open access to information. What stands in the way of open access to information is simply greed.  Many thanks for this enlightening overview.
