I want to commend Drs. Glazer and DeKeyser on their article "Prerequisites and Priorities for Nursing Research in Israel." As a nurse pursuing a doctorate in Israel, the article helps to provide direction for my own research ideas and to address the needs of the nursing field in Israel. The first step in making any change is identifying the needs and assessing the existing situation.
