 "I wouldn’t be doing what I am doing today, in the setting I have, if I didn’t have the association with MNA and ANA. I know the power of nurses joining together for one voice. The ANA impacted my career by backing the Balanced Budget Act of 1997. That enabled me to be reimbursed by Medicare. The MNA fought for nurse practitioners for controlled substance privileges. Nurses should join ANA/State Nurses Associations because without their leadership, I would not be practicing as a nurse practitioner."
