ANA House of Delegates Looks to The FutureHouse of Delegates Sets Agenda for the Profession and the Association
Washington, DC -- Today's registered nurses (RNs) face a myriad of issues in the workplace that are critical to their practice and their patients. Convening to address many of those issues, the American Nurses Association House of Delegates (HOD) will meet in Washington, DC, June 29 - July 1 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Poised to discuss and implement resolutions critical to the profession, the HOD will take on such issues as the nurse staffing crisis, the nursing code of ethics, end-of-life care and health and safety concerns. Additionally, the HOD will examine the future of ANA and develop strategic goals for the association. Members of the press are encouraged to stop by the ANA Press Office located in the Sales Conference Room of the Omni Shoreham Hotel between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. for registration and additional informational materials.
# # # The American Nurses Association is the only full-service professional organization representing the nation's 2.7 million Registered Nurses through its constituent member state nurses associations. ANA advances the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting the economic and general welfare of nurses in the workplace, projecting a positive and realistic view of nursing, and by lobbying the Congress and regulatory agencies on health care issues affecting nurses and the public.
