American Nurses Association is Providing HIPAA Privacy Education Through Partnership with Healthcare Learning Firm, Accumentor™

Washington, DC --The American Nurses Association (ANA) is expanding its professional learning outreach with the launch of two new products: “HIPAA Privacy Essentials with Applied Nursing Exercises” and the “HIPAA Privacy Reference.”

By completing ANA’s HIPAA Privacy Essentials with Applied Nursing Exercises, Nurses will earn 3 contact hours in continuing nursing education.

“Nurses work with Protected Health Information (PHI) every hour of every day,” commented ANA President Barbara Blakeney. “Nurses are the front line of PHI and it is our knowledge and workplace behaviors that can greatly affect an institution’s HIPAA privacy compliance.”
