Statement by the American Nurses Association (ANA) As the only full-service professional organization representing the interests of the nation's 2.7 million registered nurses, ANA is deeply concerned with the safety and quality of care provided to the public. ANA pledges its support to facilitate FDA's dissemination of timely information to its network of registered nurses and member nurses associations. Nurses are the largest, single component of the health care system and ANA is pleased to join FDA in this step to advance the safety of health care in America.
