ANA Fact Sheets Media Relations Staff
Welcome to the Resources of the RN=Real News Newsroom, the gateway for journalists to the
American Nurses Association’s services and media relations staff.
The American Nurses Association (ANA) is the only full-service professional organization representing the
nation's 2.9 million registered nurses (RNs) through its 54 constituent member associations. The ANA
advances the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting the economic
and general welfare of nurses in the workplace, projecting a positive and realistic view of nursing, and
by lobbying the Congress and regulatory agencies on health care issues affecting nurses and the public.
Health care is a top national priority and is likely to remain one for the foreseeable future. RNs
provide the 24/7 bedside care that is at the heart of health care in the United States and RNs make up
the single, largest component of our complex, health care system.
Please explore these resources to answer your questions and help develop story ideas. Or, contact ANA’s
media relations staff and we will be happy to assist in providing the information and experts you need.
