ANA offers CE at training session on bloodborne pathogens

The ANA/American Nurses Foundation (ANF) will be holding two train-the-trainer workshops addressing the recognition and avoidance of bloodborne pathogen hazards in the workplace. The workshops are sponsored by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Susan Harwood Training Grant, "Caring for Those Who Care: Protecting Nurses from Bloodborne Pathogen Hazards in the Workplace," which was awarded to ANA/ANF in 2001. Successful nurse trainers will return to their communities to educate nurses about bloodborne pathogen hazards. Meetings will be held on June 14-15 in Charleston, SC, and Sept. 18-19 in Chicago. For more information and registration materials, contact Feborah Dixon, project manager, at (202) 651-7139 or fdixon@ana.org.
